Standard Operating Procedure for Uploading Documents

Message to the Student Body

Hello fellow Law students! Congratulations on surviving your examinations. If you have achieved results that you are proud of, we strongly encourage you to submit your notes to our Muggers repository so that future batches can benefit from your hard work. Notably, submissions are not limited to modules taken this past semester and you are more than welcome to upload notes from previous semesters that you may not have had the chance to submit earlier.

As a guide, if you are unsure as to what might be worth submitting, below is a non-exhaustive list of resources we welcome:

  • Lecture notes
  • Exam paragraphs
  • Tutorial attempts
  • Past-year paper attempts
  • (compulsory for all submissions) A short "Read Me" document describing your experience with the course, how best to use your notes, along with proper citations of academic works that you have adapted/referenced.

That said, please refrain from submitting content which may be considered profane, vulgar, or otherwise inflammatory. The Academics Directorate retains full discretion to reject any submissions and will notify you should any content be deemed inappropriate.

If you intend on submitting materials for multiple modules, kindly create a separate submission for each module. Upon submission, the Academics Directorate will personally review the documents, after which they will be uploaded if no contravention is found.

For queries, please contact the following Academics Directorate members on Telegram:

  • If you are a current Year 1 LLB student: Ryan (@shih4nn)
  • If you are a current Year 2 LLB student: Amelia (@ameliaspx)
  • All other students should contact Bryan (@pewpewpoox)

Once again, we thank you for your generosity and contribution to the NUS Law student community! We truly appreciate it!

How to Submit Your Notes to the Muggers Repository

  1. Select "Add Document".
  2. Fill in the relevant fields displayed on the interface.
    1. Upload your files (.pdf or .docx) into the drop box.
      • Although there are no strict naming conventions for individual files, students are encouraged to append their full name to each document.

E.g. "Tutorials_Bryan Tan Jun Wei", "Read Me_Bryan Tan Jun Wei".

      • Within the "Read Me" document, in accordance with copyright requirements, proper citations must be included for all textbooks referenced using the APA 7th Edition format – [(author) (year) (title) (edition) (publisher)].

E.g. Jackson, L. M. (2019). The psychology of prejudice: From attitudes to social action (2nd ed.). American Psychological Association.

    2. Select the grade obtained for the module.
    3. Enter the Academic Year (e.g. "AY 23/24").
    4. Select the relevant tags.
    5. Select the correct module name and module code from the dropdown list.
    6. Enter the tutor's name.
    7. If there is any additional information you think is useful, you may include it in the text box labelled "Description". That said, we strongly encourage students to upload a separate "Read Me" document instead of placing extensive information in the description field.
    8. If you wish to submit anonymously, simply select the checkbox at the bottom of the page. Following this, your name will not be reflected on the interface.
  3. After submission, please allow the Academics Directorate some time to verify the documents. Once verified, the materials will be uploaded accordingly. Should any intellectual property or plagiarism concerns arise, we will contact you directly for clarification.
